Facial biometrics for e-prescribing controlled substances

I led the design of facial biometrics as a DEA-compliant authentication method for e-prescribing, a first-of-its-kind solution allowing clinicians to enroll and scan their faces in order to securely e-prescribe controlled substances to patients via mobile devices. This feature was developed in partnership with Epic, the largest electronic health records vendor in the country.

It was released for iOS in October 2023. Support for Android was announced in July 2025.

Password AutoFill for Shared Mobile Devices

I was the lead designer for Enterprise Password AutoFill for shared mobile device environments, which was part of Imprivata’s mobile product suite. This feature eliminated the need for manual entry of app login credentials for users, thereby reducing the number of taps needed to enter a username and password from potentially over 30 taps to just 3 taps. It also minimized calls to the IT help desk and improved security.
